Non-NHS Medical
Examinations And Fees
Insurance medicals, employment medicals, private medicals, HGV and PSV medicals, fitness to drive medicals, private notes for employment, completion of private health insurance forms and certain other similar services are not covered by the NHS. We do, therefore, have to charge a fee for those services and base these fees on British Medical Association guidelines where available. Details are available from the receptionist and are displayed on the notice board in the waiting room. The practice is VAT registered and for some private work VAT will be changed. Please ask at reception for details.
Chaperone
If at any time you would prefer a
consultation or examination in the company of a chaperone please feel free to
ask your GP to arrange this.
Carers
Carers are people of all ages looking
after relatives or friends who cannot manage at home without help. We recognise
that this can place a great deal of pressure on carers and that they may need
support. There are organisations that provide support for carers. Please let the
receptionist know if you are a main carer for a relative or friend and he/she
will be happy to give you details to access these facilities.
